Estoy constantemente a la búsqueda de nuevas manicuras con las que experimentar. Vi este sencillo y discreto "nail art" en el blog de Anna y decidí intentarlo, usando My Little Kimono de Essence para la base y Beyond Cozy de Essie para los puntitos.

¡Estoy deseando repetir y experimentar este estilo de manicura con otros colores!

Body Calm

Esta hidratante viene en una botella de 200 ml con dosificador. Es muy ligera y el aroma es herbal y agradable, poco convencional en hidratantes corporales (de hecho no me gustó mucho al principio, pero me ha terminado gustando mucho). Se absorbe bastante rápido, dejando una sensación agradable en la piel.

Contiene ingredientes naturales (93%), como el aceite de almendras dulces y de oliva, la camomila, la caléndula, el higo chumbo y la miel, y el agua ha sido reemplazada por infusión de hamamelis. No encontrarás ni parabenos, ni siliconas ni aceites minerales entre sus ingredientes.

Body Calm

This moisturizer comes in a 200 ml bottle with a pump. It feels very light on the skin and the scent is nice and herbal-y, quite unusual (I have to confess that I didn´t really like it when I started using it, but I ended up loving it). It sinks very quickly into the skin, leaving a soft feeling to it.

It contains natural ingredients (93%), such as almond and olive oils, chamomile, calendula, prickly pear and honey, and water is replaced by organic hamamelis infusion. You won´t find here parabens, silicons, mineral oils or other nasty ingredients.

Body Nourish

Esta hidratante viene en un tubo convencional, ya que es mucho más espesa que la anterior. Resulta extremadamente hidratante y el aroma a lavanda es súper relajante: mientras que normalmente uso Body Calm cuando me ducho por las mañanas y me tengo que vestir lo más rápido posible porque para variar, llego tarde, por otro lado uso Body Nourish cuando me ducho por las noches. Requiere un poco más de tiempo extenderla y que se absorba, pero merece la pena totalmente.

Contiene un 89% de ingredientes naturales, como las almendras, las olivas, el aguacate, la miel, el aloe vera, la caléndula y la lavanda. También contiene infusión de hamamelis en vez de agua y está libre de parabenos, siliconas y aceites minerales.

Body Nourish

This one comes in a squeeze tube as it texture is thicker that the other moisturizer. It´s very rich and moisturizing and the scent (lavender) is soooo relaxing: whereas I apply Body Calm when I´m in a hurry and I have to get dressed straight away, I love using Body Nourish when I shower in the evenings. It takes a while to blend and absorb, but it´s totally worth it!

It contains a 89% of natural ingredients, such as almonds, olives, avocado, honey, aloe, calendula and lavender. It also contains organic hamamelis infusion instead of water and it´s nasty free.

Si me dieran a elegir entre las dos, elegiría Body Nourish por lo increíblemente bien que huele, a pesar de que Body Calm es más fácil de aplicar y su packaging es más higiénico y práctico. De todos modos, me han gustado ambas hidratantes y hasta el día de hoy, estoy muy impresionada con los productos de Apivita ♥

If I have to choose one, I would go for Body Nourish because I´m so in love with its scent, although Body Calm is easier to apply and the packaging is more hygienic and handy. However, love both and I´m really impressed with Apivita so far!  ♥ 

Review COLLECTION Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder

Siendo fan del corrector Lasting Perfection de la marca británica Collection, decidí probar los polvos compactos de la misma línea.

Being such a bif fan of the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, I decided to try out the Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear powder.

"Ultimate powder that gives a full, flawless coverage for up to 16 hours.

Controls oil and tones down shine for a subtle matte finish."

Packaging

El packaging es bastante cutrecillo, en la línea de los polvos de gama media: el polvo viene en un envase negro con una tapa de plástico transparente. ¡Nada del otro mundo!

Producto

Este polvo compacto está muy finamente triturado, y no tiene esa textura tizosa que la mayoría de polvos de marcas de gama media-baja tienen. Es tan suave y fino que no marca poros ni líneas de expresión.

Lo aplico por todo el rostro con una brocha grande de polvos (la de Real Techniques) para sellar la base. Aporta una duración bastante alta, y evita que me salgan muchos brillos. Además, puedo retocarme durante el día sin temer el temido efecto cartón.

Packaging

The packaging actually looks pretty cheap: the powder comes in a black pot with a traslucent lid. Nothing fancy and pretty standard in a drugstore powder.

Product

The product itself is a very fined milled product with a little bit of colour and coverage. It doesn´t sit on pores or fine lines and provides a flawless finish.

I apply it all over with a large powder brush (the Real Techniques one) to set the foundation. It lasts for hours, keeping my face shine free, and I can re-apply it without looking cakey or too matte.

Precio

Sobre los 4 euros por 15 gr de producto. ¡Un chollo! Viene en cuatro tonos, y yo uso el más claro (1 fair).

Price

Around the 4 euro mark for 15 gr of product. Such a bargain!!! It comes in four shades, being mine the lightest (1 fair).

Opinión general

He sido usuaria de los Mineralize Skinfinish Natural de MAC durante años, pero teniendo polvos tan buenos como éstos en marcas de gama media, no hay necesidad de gastar más dinero en el producto de maquillaje que más a menudo tengo que reponer en mi neceser.

Tiene todo lo que pido en unos polvos: que sean naturales, no excesivamente mates, duraderos y efectivos en mi lucha contra los brillos. Para mi, estos polvos son ganadores en todos los aspectos :)

Overall opinion

I´ve been a big fan of the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural by MAC for years, but there´s no need to break the bank if you can find a good powder in the High Street.

It gives me all I ask for in a face powder: it´s natural looking, not too matte, longlasting and shine free. For me, this powder is a winner! :)

MAQUILLAJE // MAKEUP

1) BOOTS Nail Hardener Solution

Últimamente las uñas se me estaban abriendo a capas por alguna extraña razón, así que fui a Boots en busca de un endurecedor de uñas. El precio del Nail Envy de OPI me parece una salvajada, así que me llevé éste.

Lo uso por sí sólo o bajo el esmalte de uñas, como basecoat, y la verdad es que ha estado ayudando y no dejaré de usarlo.

2) BARRY M esmalte de uñas Gelly Hi-Shine "Grapefruit" 

Este mes no he parado de alabar la gama de esmaltes Gelly Hi-Shine de Barry M, y en especial estoy enamoradita perdida del tono Grapefruit (podéis verlo en acción aquí).

3) RIMMEL Scandaleyes lápiz khol "Nude" 

Este lápiz ha reemplazado al Eye Bright de Benefit en mi rutina diaria. Ilumina la mirada de manera muy natural y dura casi todo el día puesto.

4) CATRICE colorete "Gone with the wind" (Edición Limitada)

Éste es el único colorete que tengo de la marca y la verdad es que me gusta mucho y me ha sorprendido su calidad, pigmentación y duración. Es un melocotón prácticamente mate, muy favorecedor y natural.

I´ve been suffering of fragile nails for the past month, so I went to Boots looking for some kind of nail hardener. Since the OPI Nail Envy is ridiculously expensive, I decided to go for this nail hardener from Boots.

I use it on its own or underneath the nail polish, and it´s been helping a lot.

2) BARRY M Gelly Hi-Shine "Grapefruit" nail polish

This month I´ve been raving non-stop about the Gelly Hi-Shine nail polish range by Barry M. I love the shade Grapefruit and I´m wearing it here.

3) RIMMEL Scandaleyes "Nude" khol pencil

This has replaced my Eye Bright by Benefit in my daily routine. It looks very natural, it makes my eyes look brighter and it´s very longasting.

4) CATRICE "Gone with the wind" blush (Limited Edition)

This is the only blush I own from from this brand and I love it. It´s a matte peach, very pretty and natural looking.

5) RIVER ISLAND London

Me encanta este fragancia, sobre todo porque huele exactamente igual que mi adorado Miss Dior Chèrie. Además, la botella es preciosa, me encanta el efecto degradado en violeta.

6) APIVITA Body Nourish

Me enviaron esta hidratante (junto con otra de la misma marca) desde Farmapromo para que la probase, y me ha estado gustando mucho. Es muy hidratante y tiene una fragancia súper relajante (contiene lavanda), así que me encanta aplicarla por las noches después de la ducha. Review próximamente ;) 

5) RIVER ISLAND London

I´m loving this perfume at the moment. It smells just like Miss Dior Chèrie and the packaging is simple yet beautiful.

6) APIVITA Body Nourish

I received this body moisturizer a while ago and I´ve been enjoying it a lot. It´s very nourishing and the scent is quite relaxing, so I like applying it every evening after my shower. Review coming soon!

7) PENNEY´S vestido marinero

Ya os enseñé este vestido en mi Spring TAG y ¡me encanta! Es el vestido perfecto para primavera y verano (aunque yo lo tengo que llevar con medias, cosas de la climática local...) y queda genial combinado con una chaquetilla roja o azul marino.

I featured this dress in my Spring TAG and I can´t get enough of it. It´s the perfect dress for spring and summer (altough I have to wear it with tights here... no summer, you know...) and it looks great with red or navy cardigans.

Awkward is back! I didn´t really love Season 2, but Season 3 is definitely much better, and this is a show so easy to watch that I would never get tired of it. Also, Matty is super cute ♥

NOTD Prickly Pear

Este es el segundo esmalte que me compré de la línea de esmaltes Gelly Hi-Shine de Barry M. Prickly Pear es un lila pastel, muy primaveral.

This is the second nail polish I picked up from the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine range. Prickly Pear is a pastel lavender, very spring-like.

Si Grapefruit cubría con una sola capa, Prickly Pear es más transparente y requiere 2 ó 3 capas, dependiendo del grosor. El acabado es muy brillante y la duración, más que aceptable (4-5 días).

Tengo muchísimas ganas de comprar más esmaltes de esta gama, ¡son geniales! :)

If Grapefruit was opaque with one coat, Prickly Pear is more sheer and requires 2 to 3 coats. The finish is extra shiny and it lasted quite well on me (4-5 days).

I can´t wait to pick up more Gelly Hi-Shine nail polishes, they are brilliant!! :)

Esmalte de uñas favorito

Grapefruit  de Barry M es una compra reciente pero sé que lo voy a dar muchísimo uso durante esta temporada. Es un color perfecto para primavera/verano, y la formulación es tan buena que me gustaría volver a Boots y llevarme toda la gama xD

Favourite nail polish

Barry M´s Grapefruit es a recent purchase but I already know I´m gonna get so much wear out of it. It´s the perfect spring/summer colour, and the formula is so great that I just wanna go to Boots and buy the whole range xD

Labial favorito

A pesar de que me encantan mis labiales rojos, no puedo negar que la primavera es la estación del rosa. No he podido elegir un sólo producto, así que he hecho trampas y he seleccionado tres: Revlon Lovesick Kissable Balm Stain, Revlon Berry Smoothie Lip Butter  y Rimmel Apocalips Apocaliptic Lip Lacquer.

Los dos productos de Revlon los encuentro muy adecuados para el día, mientras que el lip lacquer de Rimmel es perfecto para la noche.

Favourite lip product

Although I love my red lippies, I can´t deny that spring is the season of pink. I couldn´t choose only one product, so I went for three: Revlon Lovesick Kissable Balm Stain, Revlon Berry Smoothie Lip Butter and Rimmel Apocalips Apocaliptic Lip Lacquer.

I would use the two Revlon products for the daytime, whereas the Rimmel lip lacquer is perfect for a night out.

Vestido favorito

Me compré esta monada de vestido el otro día y tengo unas ganas mortales de estrenarlo. Es de Penney´s (Primark) y también lo tienen en verde menta/blanco, pero pensé que este quedaría de miedo con bailarinas azul marino y labios rojos ♥

I´ve just bought this dress the other day and I cannot wait to wear it. It´s from Penney´s (Primark) and they also have it in mint/white, but I thought this one would be perfect with navy flats and red lips ♥

Ésta es otra compra reciente, y el clon perfecto de Miss Dior Cherie, mi perfume favorito. Me encanta ésta fragancia, así que sin lugar a dudas voy a usar este perfume sin parar durante primavera y verano.

This is another recent purchase, and the perfect dupe for Miss Dior Cherie, my all time favourite perfume. I love this scent so much, and I´ll wear this non stop through spring and summer.

NOTD Grapefruit

La nueva línea de esmaltes de Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine  ofrecen un brillo espectacular. El acabado de estos esmaltes emula el brillo de las uñas de gel o Shellac, así que podéis presumir de uñas con acabado "profesional".

The new Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail paints are seriously shiny. The finish of these nail polishes is very gel-like, as if you had your nails done in a salon. 

Ahora mismo me encuentro en la búsqueda de nuevos tonos para primavera/verano, y este rosa coral neón, captó mi atención. Queda bastante cubriente con una sola capa, pero para perfeccionar, añadí una segunda.

Dura muchísimo en las uñas, hasta 5 días intacto. Asombroso, ¿verdad?

Podéis encontrar estos esmaltes en Boots (UK y ROI) o en Asos, donde están de oferta en estos momentos (3,94€, gastos de envío gratuitos).

I am on the hunt for spring/summer shades and this beautiful neon coral-pink caught my eye. It looks pretty good with only one coat, but I added a second one as usual.

It lasts amazingly on the nails: 5 days without chipping. Pretty awesome, right?
