Body Calm

Esta hidratante viene en una botella de 200 ml con dosificador. Es muy ligera y el aroma es herbal y agradable, poco convencional en hidratantes corporales (de hecho no me gustó mucho al principio, pero me ha terminado gustando mucho). Se absorbe bastante rápido, dejando una sensación agradable en la piel.

Contiene ingredientes naturales (93%), como el aceite de almendras dulces y de oliva, la camomila, la caléndula, el higo chumbo y la miel, y el agua ha sido reemplazada por infusión de hamamelis. No encontrarás ni parabenos, ni siliconas ni aceites minerales entre sus ingredientes.

Body Calm

This moisturizer comes in a 200 ml bottle with a pump. It feels very light on the skin and the scent is nice and herbal-y, quite unusual (I have to confess that I didn´t really like it when I started using it, but I ended up loving it). It sinks very quickly into the skin, leaving a soft feeling to it.

It contains natural ingredients (93%), such as almond and olive oils, chamomile, calendula, prickly pear and honey, and water is replaced by organic hamamelis infusion. You won´t find here parabens, silicons, mineral oils or other nasty ingredients.

Body Nourish

Esta hidratante viene en un tubo convencional, ya que es mucho más espesa que la anterior. Resulta extremadamente hidratante y el aroma a lavanda es súper relajante: mientras que normalmente uso Body Calm cuando me ducho por las mañanas y me tengo que vestir lo más rápido posible porque para variar, llego tarde, por otro lado uso Body Nourish cuando me ducho por las noches. Requiere un poco más de tiempo extenderla y que se absorba, pero merece la pena totalmente.

Contiene un 89% de ingredientes naturales, como las almendras, las olivas, el aguacate, la miel, el aloe vera, la caléndula y la lavanda. También contiene infusión de hamamelis en vez de agua y está libre de parabenos, siliconas y aceites minerales.

Body Nourish

This one comes in a squeeze tube as it texture is thicker that the other moisturizer. It´s very rich and moisturizing and the scent (lavender) is soooo relaxing: whereas I apply Body Calm when I´m in a hurry and I have to get dressed straight away, I love using Body Nourish when I shower in the evenings. It takes a while to blend and absorb, but it´s totally worth it!

It contains a 89% of natural ingredients, such as almonds, olives, avocado, honey, aloe, calendula and lavender. It also contains organic hamamelis infusion instead of water and it´s nasty free.

Si me dieran a elegir entre las dos, elegiría Body Nourish por lo increíblemente bien que huele, a pesar de que Body Calm es más fácil de aplicar y su packaging es más higiénico y práctico. De todos modos, me han gustado ambas hidratantes y hasta el día de hoy, estoy muy impresionada con los productos de Apivita ♥

If I have to choose one, I would go for Body Nourish because I´m so in love with its scent, although Body Calm is easier to apply and the packaging is more hygienic and handy. However, love both and I´m really impressed with Apivita so far!  ♥

I´ve decided to publish a series of blogpost about the best products of certain brands I like. Today, I´m gonna start with Garnier. Hope you find it useful!

Garnier Body Intensive 7 days (piel seca-muy seca)

Garnier Intensive ofrece una amplia gama de hidratantes para todo tipo de pieles: normal (aloe vera), seca (miel, aceite de mango, manteca de cacao) y muy seca (manteca de karité).

Mi piel es más bien normal, pero en el invierno se me reseca bastante por el frío (odio esa sensación tirante en la espalda o las piernas, aggg). Por eso me incliné por la versión para pieles muy secas de esta hidratante, enriquecida con manteca de karité.

Me gusta muchísimo: deja la piel muy suave y elástica, pero no es nada grasa y se absorbe rápidamente. Tiene una fragancia agradable y muy sutil, y no es nada cara.

Garnier Body Intensive 7 days (dry to extra-dry skin)

Garnier Intensive offers a wide range of body moisturizers for all skin types: normal skin (aloe vera), dry skin (honey, mango oil, cocoa butter) and extra dry (shea butter).

My skin is in the normal side, but it can get very dry in the winter time. That´s the reason I chose the extra dry version, enriched with shea butter.

I love this moisturizer: it´s very rich and nourishing but non greasy and fast-absorbing at the same time. It has a nice scent, not strong at all, and it´s very inexpensive.

Garnier Body Summerbody (bronceado suave)

Garnier Summerbody es una loción hidratante con una pizca de autobronceador que actúa de manera gradual, así que es una opción más segura que un autobronceador tradicional.

Como compré la versión "light" (también existe un tono más oscuro), no se aprecia demasiado color a simple vista con la primera aplicación, pero al ser gradual, puedes conseguir un tono bronceado claro en 3-4 días. Es bastante hidratante y tiene un aroma frutal muy agradable.

Garnier Body Summerbody (light sunkissed look)

Garnier Summerbody is a body moisturizer with a hint of self tan. It´s a gradual tan, so it´s much safer than a traditional fake tan.

Since I got the light version (there´s also one for medium, dark skin), the colour pay-off that I get isn´t very noticiable the first time I applied it, but it´s buildable, so you can get a healthy glow in 3-4 days. It´s also quite moisturising, and it has a very nice, fruity scent.

Garnier Skin Naturals Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 makeup remover

¡Tres hurras por este producto! Este desmaquillador bifásico se compone de un líquido transparente (agua limpiadora) y uno azul (aceite limpiador), por lo que se debe agitar el bote antes de usar para que los dos líquidos se mezclen y poder usar ambos a la vez.

Retira los restos de maquillaje (de cara y ojos, e incluso máscara de pestañas resistente al agua) con mucha facilidad, sin irritar los ojos y sin dejar sensación grasa en la piel. ¡Es un producto 10!

Garnier Skin Naturals Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 makeup remover

This stuff is absolutely brilliant. This makeup remover has a clear liquid (cleansing water) and a blue liquid (removing oil), so you have to shake the bottle in order to use both together.

The makeup (face and eye makeup, even waterproof mascara) comes off very quickly and it doesn´t irritates my eyes or feels greasy on the skin. It´s just perfect!

Garnier Skin Naturals Simply Essentials Soothing Vitamin-Enriched Toner

Rara vez uso tónicos porque me parece que resecan mucho la piel y no me gusta la sensación que dejan, pero éste no tiene nada que ver con los demás: no contiene alcohol y está enriquecido con agentes calmantes de procedencia vegetal y vitamina B5, por lo que resulta muy suave con la piel. No es un tónico cualquiera, ¡es EL tónico!

Garnier Skin Naturals Simply Essentials Soothing Vitamin-Enriched Toner

I rarely use toners because they make my skin feel tight and dry, but this one is very gentle with my skin: it doesn´t contain alcohol and it´s enriched with soothing plant extracts and vitamin B5. Best toner ever!

Hoy quiero hablaros de mi limpiadora favorita actualmente: Kiehl´s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser. He estado usando este producto durante algo más de 6 meses, así que creo que es hora de una review.

Today I wanna talk about my favourite cleanser at the moment: Kiehl´s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser. I´ve been using this for more than 6 months, so I think it´s time for a review!

Este limpiador libre de aceites elimina las impurezas y reduce visiblemente el exceso de aceites y las impurezas de la superficie de la piel, proporcionando un aspecto más sano y equilibrado.Con Raíz Imperata Cylindrica y extractos de limón, deja la piel limpia y fresca. Libre de parabenes, sin colorantes, sin fragancia, libre de aceites.

Our Ultra Facial Oil–Free Cleanser is a quick–lathering cleansing foam that thoroughly removes impurities and visibly reduces excess oil on skin’s surface, while leaving skin looking more balanced. With Imperata Cylindrica Root and Lemon Fruit Extracts, our non–stripping, sulfate–free formula leaves skin clean and refreshed without over–drying. Gentle enough for sensitive skin. Oil–free, paraben–free, fragrance–free, colorant–free.

El envase

Esta limpiadora viene en un bote de plástico translúcido en el que se encuentran escritos la descripción, el modo de uso y los ingredientes del producto. Muy sencillo, útil y fácil de transportar sin miedo a que se derrame el contenido.

El producto

Se presenta en una textura tipo mousse, muy ligera y que carece de fragancia. Hace espuma con mucha facilidad, así que sólo necesitas una pequeña cantidad cada vez. De esta manera, también ahorras dinero, ya que tardarás meses en tener que reponerlo de nuevo. No contiene ni sulfatos, ni siliconas, ni parabenos.

Deja la piel extremadamente limpia, eliminando cualquier resto de suciedad o grasa (contiene arcilla, ingrediente amigo de las pieles grasas) y puedes usarlo una o dos veces al día.

Como conclusión, he de decir que a mi piel grasa y propensa al acné le encanta este producto, pero si tu piel es seca y sensible, puede que te reseque.

El precio

Esta limpiadora cuesta 19€ por 150 ml. El precio depende del país, yo compré la mía en la tienda de Wicklow St en Dublín, gracias a la recomendación de la dependienta.

The packaging

This cleanser comes in a translucent squeeze tube with the description, directions and ingredients written in it. Very simple, useful and travel-friendly.

The product

Mousse-like texture, lightweight and fragance-free. You only need a pea size amount because it lathers up like no other, so this tube last a long, long time (after 6 months I still have some left!). It doesn´t contain sulfates, parabens and silicones.

It leaves my skin squeaky clean removing dirt and excess oil (contains clay, great for oily skin types!) and you can use it once or twice a day. 

Overall, my oily/acne prone skin loves this stuff, but if your skin is dry/sensitive you may find it too drying.

The price

You get 150 ml for 19€ (depending on the country, I bought mine in Dublin thanks to the lovely sales assistant in the Wicklow St store!)

Hasta ahora, he probado:

• Clean on me gel de ducha: Hace mucha espuma, es muy cremoso e hidratante. Además, huele de maravilla.
• The Righteous Butter manteca corporal: Tiene el mismo aroma que el gel de ducha Clean on me, y deja la piel súper suave e hidratada, sin dejar residuos pegajosos.
• Sexy Mother Pucker gloss: No me vuelve loca. Es bastante pegajoso (que por otro lado, hace que el gloss dure muchísimo en los labios) y el efecto mentolado llega a ser incómodo al principio y dura mucho tiempo. Eso si, el color (rosa suave) es precioso.
• Thick & Fast máscara de pestañas: Aún estoy insegura de lo que pienso acerca de ella, así que os tendré al día. Me recuerda mucho a la BadGal de Benefit, la cual odio, por cierto.
• Hand Food crema de manos: Tiene una textura muy agradable, muy hidratante pero se absorbe rápidamente y no deja las manos grasientas. Y además, ¡huele genial!

¿Cuál es vuestro producto favorito de S & G?

So far, I´ve tried:

• Clean on me shower gel: It foams up great, creamy texture and moisturizing formula. Gorgeous scent.
• The Righteous Butter body butter: Exact same scent as the Clean on me shower gel. Leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated, not sticky at all.
• Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss: Not a big fan of it. It´s very sticky (which makes this lipgloss very longlasting, in the other hand) and the tingly effect last for ages on the lips. The shade (soft pink) is lovely though.
• Thick & Fast mascara: I don´t know what I think about it yet, so I´ll keep you updated. It reminds me a lot of the Benefit BadGal mascara (which I hate, by the way).
• Hand Food hand cream: The texture is very nice, it doesn´t feel sticky or oily, and it leaves your hands moisturized. Lovely scent!

Me encanta Boots. ¡Y las ofertas de 3x2 me encantan mucho más! Hace unas semanas, una amiga y yo compramos tres de estos sets de Soap & Glory: uno para ella, otro para mi, y otro para regalar a otra amiga. No recuerdo el precio exacto, pero rondaban los 20€ (incluso algo menos) y uno de ellos nos salió gratis, ¡así que fue un chollazo!

Nos gustó este set de regalo, llamado Shower Trip porque contiene 6 minitallas de los mejores productos de Soap & Glory además de un bonito (y práctico) neceser de viaje.

I love Boots. And I love the 3x2 offers!! A few weeks ago a friend and I purchased three of these Soap & Glory sets: one for her, one for me, and another one for a present. They retail for around the 20€ mark and we got one of them for free. Bargain!!

We liked this Shower Trip gift set because it features six of the best Soap & Glory products  packaged in a beautiful (and very handy) travel case. 

Me gusta muchísimo el neceser de viaje, al que voy a dar un montón de uso, especialmente estas vacaciones, ya que me voy a casa tres semanitas y tengo que llevar conmigo algunos de mis esenciales (Si queréis ver un post tipo ¿Qué llevo en mi neceser de viaje? estad atentas, ¡que está en el horno!)

Es muy espacioso y tiene un bolsillo con cremallera en la tapa, útil para guardar cosas pequeñitas. Es rosa y lleva el logo de S & G estampado por todo el neceser... ¡es tan mono!

I really like the travel case and I will be getting a lot of use out of it, specially this holidays, because I´m going away for three weeks and I need to bring some of my beauty stuff with me! (Wanna see a What´s in my travel bag kinda post? Stat tunned!)

It has a lot of room and an additional zip pocket in the lid. It´s pink and it has the S & G logo printed all over. Very cute!

¿Qué contiene?

• Clean on me gel de ducha: aromatizado con el aroma característico de los productos S & G (mezcla frutal/cítrica con notas de bergamota, rosa, melocotón, fresa, brotes de gardenia, jazmín, pachulí, ámbar y almizcle), muy cremoso e hidratante. Además, cunde mucho (¡este mini-bote me ha durado prácticamente unas tres semanas!).
• Girligo spray hidratante: de nuevo, otro producto que huele de maravilla (fragancia que además, permanece en la piel). La única pega que tiene este producto es que no puedes aplicártelo cuando estás vestida, como cualquier body spray, sino que tienes que hacerlo directamente sobre la piel y extenderlo para que se absorba.
• Hand Food crema de manos: es una hidratante estupenda, ya me habéis oído hablar otras veces de ella. No es pegajosa, se absorbe rápidamente y huele divinamente.
• The Righteous Butter body butter: me encantan las mantecas corporales, pero a veces son demasiado pesadas, pero ésta no. Puedes aplicarlo con la piel seca después de la ducha, o con la piel ligeramente húmeda, y se absorbe enseguida. Tiene una textura muy agradable y deja la piel muy suave e hidratada.
• The Scrub of your life exfoliante corporal: es un exfoliante suave (pero efectivo) que hace espuma e hidrata, ¡un 3 en 1! Es muy buen producto y la fragancia se queda en la piel.
• Calm one Calm all gel de baño: aún no lo he probado porque aquí tengo plato de ducha, pero va a ir en la maleta y me voy a pegar unos bañitos en casa... ♥ 
• Una esponja tipo luffa: no me gustan este tipo de esponjas pero queda la mar de mona colgada en la ducha :)

¿Cuál/es son vuestros favoritos?

What´s inside?:

• Clean on me shower gel: scented with the signature S & G scent (fruity citrus blend with notes of bergamot, summer rose, peach, strawberry, gardenia blooms, jasmine, patchouli, warm amber and lush musk), very creamy and moisturizing. Also a little goes a long way when it comes to this product (this tiny bottle lasted me for almost three weeks!).
• Girligo moisturizing mist: again, this has a lovely scent which actually last quite a bit. The only downside is that you can´t spray it when you are dressed, because of its milky appearance: yo should spray it on the skin and rub it in.
• Hand Food hand cream: it´s a great moisturizer, it doesn´t feel sticky at all and, once more... smells delicious!!!
• The Righteous Butter body butter: I love body butters, but sometimes they´re too heavy. Not this one. You can apply it onto dry skin or slightly damp, and it absorbs really quickly. The texture is fabulous and it leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. 
• The Scrub of your life body scrub: it´s a gentle (but effective) scrub that foams up and moisturize the skin at the same time. It´s a very nice product and the scent lingers on your skin!!
• Calm one Calm all bubble bath: I haven´t tried it yet because I have a shower here, but I´m gonna bring it with me on holidays to enjoy lovely bubble baths at home ♥ 
• A loofah: I don´t use it but it looks cute in my shower!

Skincare Routine Updated (Day)

¡¡Hola chicas!!


Hace unos meses os hablé de mi rutina de cuidado de la piel. Los últimos meses he estado probando productos nuevos que se han quedado fijos en esta rutina, sustituyendo a otros que he dejado de usar. De todas maneras, a pesar de cambiar los productos, la rutina en si, y el orden de uso de los productos siempre se mantiene.


Hoy os muestro mi rutina de cuidado facial diario:

Today I wanna share with you my current skincare routine. I change the products I use from time to time but the routine and sequence of products used doesn´t change.


Here is my daily skincare routine:

Lavar con un limpiador facial:


1) KIKO Esponja de Konjac.


Éste es mi paso favorito, y desde que compré esta famosa esponja, no he dejado de usarla ni un sólo día.


La esponja Konjac es una esponja natural que proviene de una planta japonesa. Limpia y exfolia muy suavemente sin irritar la piel, por lo que es indicada para pieles sensibles.


¿Cómo la uso? Primero extiendo un poco de mi actual limpiadora sobre el rostro (aunque algunos días me salto la limpiadora) y después, con la esponja mojada, masajeo la piel con movimientos circulares suaves. Por último, me aclaro la cara.


Estoy enamoradísima de esta esponja, de veras, ¡deja la piel muy suave y bonita!


2) ANNE MÖLLER Gel Nettoyant Moussant.


Uso esta limpiadora junto a la esponja Konjac. No resulta agresivo y elimina fácilmente la suciedad, el exceso de grasa e incluso restos de maquillaje. Me gusta mucho y no me reseca la piel, lo cual se agradece, ya que muchas veces las limpiadoras formuladas para pieles grasas resecan demasiado.


El bote es enorme (400 ml) y dura muchísimo tiempo.


Wash with cleanser:


1) KIKO Konjac Sponge.


This is my favourite new step in my skincare and I´ve been using this sponge every single day since I got it.


The Konjac sponge is a natural sponge made of a japanese plant. It deeply cleanses and gently exfoliates without irritating the skin (suitable for sensitive skin).


First of all, I apply some cleanser on my face (sometimes I skip cleanser and I use the sponge itself). Then, I grab my wet Konjac sponge and I start massaging my face in gentle, circular motions. I rinse my face afterwards.


I honestly love this sponge, it makes my skin much softer and nicer!


2) ANNE MÖLLER Gel Nettoyant Moussant.


I use this cleanser along with the Konjac Sponge. It´s very gentle and removes dirt, excess oil and makeup. I really like it and it doesn´t dry out my skin, which is good (sometimes cleansers formulated for oily skin are too drying!).


The bottle is huge (400 ml) and lasts such a long time.

Exfoliar y limpiar a profundidad con exfoliantes y mascarillas:


3) QUEEN HELENE Mint Julep Masque.


Esta mascarilla (review aquí) me esta ayudando mucho: no me salen brotes de acné tan a menudo y, en general, mi piel está más luminosa y sana.


La aplico una o dos veces por semana, después de la limpieza o la exfoliación. De hecho, el fin de semana es el momento perfecto para relajarse un poco y usar esta mascarilla.


4) QUEEN HELENE Oatmeal´n Honey.


Uso este exfoliante un día si y otro no, sustituyendo la limpiadora de Anne Möller, cuando busco una limpieza más profunda. Este exfoliante es muy suave, pero deja la piel muy lisa, eliminando células muertas e impurezas.

3) QUEEN HELENE Mint Julep Masque.


This face mask (review here) is helping me a lot: I don´t break out as often and my skin looks brighter overall. 


I apply it once or twice a week (after cleansing or exfoliating). Actually the weekend is the perfect time to use it!


4) QUEEN HELENE Oatmeal´n Honey.


I use this facial scrub every other day, instead of cleansing with my Anne Möller cleanser. It´s very gentle but the exfoliating action gets rid of dead cells and impurities.

Hidratar el rostro:


5) YES TO TOMATOES Daily Balancing Moisturizer.


Esta hidratante es una de mis favoritas para pieles mixtas-grasas, pero durante los últimos meses he estado terminando minitallas (tenía mil y una, por culpa de la Glossybox...) y la última hidratante que me compré en Boots, que parecía no tener fin. Por fin, el mes pasado volví a comprarme esta crema de Yes to Tomatoes y estoy encantada :)


Me deja la piel muy suave, lisita e hidratada, y además ayuda a controlar los brillos (evidentemente no hace milagros, pero ayudar, ayuda). El packaging me encanta (soy fan de los botes con "pump", qué se le va a hacer), ¡y huele que alimenta!


Apply moisturizer:


5) YES TO TOMATOES Daily Balancing Moisturizer.


I´m a big fan of this moisturizer, but over the last months I´ve been using up all the sample-sized moisturizers I had. Finally, I re-purchased the Yes to Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturizer a month ago and I´m so happy!


It leaves my skin soft and hydrated, and helps control oil. I love the packaging, it´s very hygenic, and the scent is sooooooooo nice!!!!!

Preparar la piel:


6) BIODERMA Pore Refiner.


Esta prebase/tratamiento para disminuir el tamaño de los poros es un recién llegado en mi rutina, pero no he dudado en incluirlo, ya que es un producto excepcional. 


A pesar de actuar también como tratamiento, he de decir que sólo uso esta prebase cuando me maquillo (lo aplico después de la hidratante y antes de la base de maquillaje), y si no voy a salir de casa, me salto este paso.


La verdad es que cuando lo compré, y a pesar de las buenas reviews, no creía que iba a funcionar tan bien, pero el primer día que lo usé me maquillé sobre las 3 de la tarde y cuando volví a casa a las 9 seguía con el maquillaje intacto y sin brillos, cuando normalmente a las 2-3 horas me empiezan a salir los primeros brillos en nariz y frente. 


He usado muchos primers, pero éste se lleva el premio por funcionar de verdad.


Prime the skin:


6) BIODERMA Pore Refiner.


This pore refining treatment/primer has become a staple in my routine. However, I don´t use this every single day, only the days I´m wearing makeup.


I apply it after moisturizer and before foundation, and it´s just unbelievable... it works like magic!!  I went from blotting my face several times troughout the day to only doing it once. This the best oil control product I have ever tried!!

Aplicar bálsamo labial:


7) EOS bálsamo labial.


¡No te olvides de hidratar los labios! Éste paso es muy importante, ya que los labios cuarteados no son bonitos. Durante el día aplico éste (o cualquiera que tenga en el bolso, si he dejado el EOS en casa).


Apply lipbalm:


7) EOS Lipbalm.


Don´t forget to moisturize your lips!! This is also a very important step in your skincare routine, because chapped lips aren´t beautiful!

¡Y eso es todo! Parecen un montón de productos, pero mi rutina se compone de tres pasos muy básicos: limpieza-exfoliación-hidratación.


Por otro lado, la clave para una piel sana es seguir una dieta sana. Los últimos meses me he estado portando bastante bien en este aspecto, prestando especial atención a los alimentos que incluyo en mi dieta diaria:

• Incrementar la ingesta de frutas y verduras.
• Evitar las bebidas gaseosas.
• Eliminar grasas (de todas maneras, ¡me permito un trocito de bizcocho casero de vez en cuando!)

And that´s it!! Looks like a lot of products but I basically follow a 3-step routine: cleansing-exfoliating-moisturizing. 


Either way, a healthy diet is the key to healthy skin. Over the last few months I´ve been taking especial care of the food items I include in my diet:

• Increase the fruit and vegetable intake.
• Avoid fizzy drinks.
• Cut out fats (anyways, a small piece of homemade cake every once in a while is allowed!)
